Privacy Policy

In plain language

We collect only what we need to run the referral network, keep Unique IDs secure, and help the onboard AI answer usefully. We do not sell your personal information.

What we collect

• Account info — name, email, phone, city/state, password (stored hashed), Unique ID, tier, industry preferences
• Network activity — leads, referrals, recommend-to-Leadership notes, nearby-meet requests
• AI memory — short compressed notes from chats and product facts, stored by topic area (not your whole device)
• Technical logs — basic server logs for reliability and security

How we use it

• To let only people with a valid Unique ID into the network
• To route leads and introductions to the right partners
• To personalize industry templates and the onboard AI
• To improve safety, prevent abuse, and fix problems

AI & privacy

• Chat may be processed by a local model (Ollama) or future cloud models you configure
• We apply security checks so the AI is not used for hacking, scams, or other harmful requests
• AI memory is area-scoped and compressed; it is not meant to store full passwords or payment card numbers
• Do not put secrets you would not want stored (SSNs, full card numbers) into chat

Health information (HIPAA readiness)

Virtuous is built with security controls that support HIPAA Security and Privacy Rule readiness (access control, audit logs, encryption in transit, policies). That is not the same as a formal HIPAA certification or a Business Associate Agreement (BAA).

• Do not put clinical notes, diagnoses, medical record numbers, or other protected health information (PHI) into chat or Reflection notes unless you have a documented, authorized workflow and required agreements in place
• Prefer the minimum necessary information for referrals and tools
• Operators should enable disk encryption and review the Trust Center (/trust) before handling regulated health data
• If you are a covered entity or business associate, consult counsel about BAAs with Virtuous and its subprocessors

Sharing

Partners above you in the network (your Leadership) may see introductions and leads needed for a real meet. We do not sell personal data to advertisers. We may share data if required by law.

Your choices

• Ask to correct or delete account data when possible
• Stop using the service and request account closure
• Nearby-lead path does not grant network access until a Unique ID is issued
